This woman is fabulous. I have had so much fun this weekend working with Stephanie and my wife Kori ( http://korig.blogspot.com/ ). I have captured some amazing shots and have been noticed by several forums for this work. I can't wait to see the excitement on Stephanie's face when she sees all of the proofs that aren't on here. If you're reading this Stephanie there's a few more on my other site.

This was shot specifically at the request of Stephanie and it turned out great!!!

Tonight my wife and I had the opportunity to work with a model on her portfolio update. Stephanie is great to work with. She is alot of fun, professional, and looks great on camera. Here are some of the photos from tonights shoot.

Mixer Time

Headed to Jacksonville for a group shoot yesterday and had a great time. My wife and I met up with a couple of photographers and models and filled some memory cards. The model here is a friend of one of the photographers. She was great, I always feel bad for the models because they have 3 or 4 photographers all wanting them to do something different. The end result however is beautiful art.

One thing about photography in the urban enviroment is being able to 'see the writing on the wall' here are a couple of examples

My First Maternity Shoot

Well I did my first maternity shoot on Friday with my wife. I'm not really sure that I did much maternity stuff but I did capture some nice shots. I also was reminded why I haven't done any kid shoots yet. They never stop moving. OMG this little girl went non-stop the entire time we were at the beach. She was very cute and I'm sure her parents will enjoy the photos. I hope you do to.

Happy Birthday Son

Five years ago today my life changed forever. With the birth of my son I entered into a new role that I never thought I would be ready for. I didn't think I was ready for it then but I couldn't back out. The role of father is a wonderful thing. Everyday my son amazes me with the things he says, things he can do, and the amazing amount of stuff he has learned in his five short years. He got my looks (poor kid) and his mother's brains. I can't imagine my life without him. I owe this all to my wife. I never really wanted to have kids but she convinced me otherwise, now I can't remember why I wanted to deprive myself of this joy. Kori, each and every day makes sure that Alex has the best mother in the world. She teaches him so much and exposes him to so many new things he isn't going to have one of those "things to do before..." lists. Today is a day of reflection and celebration and I thank you for stopping by and sharing this day with us. Alex, Kori, I love you both more than you could ever know. Thank you for providing me with the family that means so much to me.

Installation Ceremony

Revels - Smith Engagement Shoot

I had a great time with this shoot today. Every session I do to build my portfolio base I find more and more things to include in a session without the use of studio lights and back drops. Natural setting is so much more exciting than the constraints of a studio shoot. Congratulations guys and thank you for being patient and making this a great shoot. Hope you enjoy the teaser!!

My wife had all of this set up and while she was switching bunnies I Highjacked the camera and shot some stuff. When she walked in she was suprised by my posing ideas and the quality of the photos I was able to get. I get better at the portraits all the time.

Had a really good time today doing this shoot. They are all so photogenic even the mom (though she tried to avoid the camera). I love the action of the the motorcycle jumps if he keeps practicing he'll really go far. Great times!!!

My New Lens

I got my new lens on Friday. I am very excited. My loving wife has been diligently working to sell off some of the camera equipment that we no longer use or need. In doing that she has been able to buy the lens that I will be using as a work horse lens for a very long time. What is this wonderful lens you ask? Well, its the Canon 24-105mm f4 L IS USM. This lens is great, sharp, fast, versitile, and perfectly balanced with the rest of my gear. Here are some of the first photos with the new toy.

Chris was a pretty good sport about all of this. The Fire Sprinkler valve was a great prop considering both of them are firefighters.

Well, I finally caved under the pressure. I now have a blog and here it is. This will be the new home of Anthony's Photo Portfolio. I used to send all of my friend and family and clients to flickr to see my work but in an effort to portray a more professional appearance for clients I have created this blog and a website will probably follow.
